

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, December 10, 1937, Kenneth was the son of the lates', Floyd Spann and Goldie Yates. He was a retired truck driver for Fisher Meat Packing and a member Teamsters Local #89. Kenneth served his nation in the United States Army, becoming one of the last veterans of the Korean War. He served in Germany during peacetime. He never knew a stranger, liked to dance and was a huge cut up. He also was an avid car and enthusiast and loved to off road in his jeep. Kenneth was also a handyman, played cards and was a U of L Cardinal Fan. He lived a full - life.
Besides his parents, Floyd & Goldie Spann; his wife, Joyce Ann Spann; and siblings, Doris, Betty, Bobby and Thomas, precede Kenneth in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tom (Robin) Spann, Kenneth "Bud" (Karen) Spann, Jr., Vickie Humphrey, Joe (Mary) Spann and Lora (Neal) Poe; his sister, Dottie; grandchildren, Amber, Jeremy, Gary, Billy Joe, Patrick, Jason, Brandon and Leah; several great - grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in the Heady Memorial Chapel of the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel. Following the service, Kenneth will be laid to rest in the Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 12:00 - 8:00 p.m. and then again on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Hour of 1:30 p.m. also at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel.
