Kenneth "Butch" D Whitaker

A graduate of Shawnee High School, Butch carried forward the steady values of his hometown and generation with quiet dignity. He served his country as a Vietnam Veteran, a chapter of his life remembered with respect and gratitude.

Butch shared 43 years of marriage with Beverly Ann Whitaker, a lasting partnership marked by devotion and constancy. He will be remembered with honor by those who knew him and by all who recognize the meaning of faithful service, enduring commitment, and a life lived with purpose.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann Whitaker; brother, Donnie Whitaker; grandson, Kevin Wolff.

Butch is survived by his children; Kenneth Whitaker, Angela Whitaker, Stephen (Jennifer) Whitaker, Six grandchildren, Christopher Dobson (Marissa), Aaron Key (Shianne), Jessica Whitaker, Allison Wolff, Amber Whitaker, and Stevie Whitaker; great-grandchildren, Mason Dobson, Madelyn Dobson, Isabella Dobson, Kaylie, Hayden Key, Riley Key, Auston Skaggs, Logan Wolff, Audrey Wolff, and Jordan Wolff.

Funeral service will be 12pm Friday, May 1, 2026 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 12-8pm Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven and 11am-12pm Friday, May 1, 2026.
