Larry loved to have a good time and faced his health challenges with his trademark humor and wit right up to last call. Larry was co-owner of River City Machine & Tool Inc., an avid U of L fan, lover of racing, classic cars, trucks, tractors and anything that involved having a good time. He put the real in “realist”.
His parents, Raymond and Myrtle Baumgardner, and sister, Janet Sue Reesor, precede Larry in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 49 years, Margie Theinel Baumgardner; sister, Phyllis Vaughn (Bill); brother, Rusty Baumgardner (Amy); a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, a special great nephew, “Big Guy” Stephen Vaughn, and loving niece Kristi Miller (Tim), who assisted Margie with his care until his passing.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
