Lawrence was an avid University of Louisville fan; He enjoyed golfing, fishing and cooking. He was a Kentucky Colonel. Larry graduated from U of L and worked at The Brook Hospital where he was Nurse Executive.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Koebel and his step-mother, Pat Koebel.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Laura; his father, Marvin Koebel; his sister, Denise Koebel; and many family and friends.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be conducted at 10 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2015, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 2-8 PM on Friday, May 22, 2015 and after 9 AM the day of the funeral.
