LEOLA R., 84, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 surrounded by her family at Glen Ridge Health Center.
She was born February 29, 1928 in Dekalb, IL to the late Fred Thomas and Della B. Adkinson Royalty. She spent her years as an amazing homemaker to her family and attending Highview Baptist Church.
Along with her husband, Harold J. Peavler, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Royalty; and sisters, Anna Mae Mobley and Ella L. Royalty. Left to carry on her beautiful memory are children, Carolyn Phillips, David, Larry, Lonnie, Keith and Tim Peavler; and her sister, Doris Robinson. As well as 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
A service in celebration of Leola's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggest expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society and or Highview Baptist Church.
