It was in the Fall of 1983 when I last saw Lenny, during a visit to Louisville.  He was always a terrific multitalented man, but always the poster child of humility.  In this all too brief visit that we call life, we are so very fortunate to become friends with someone like Lenny.  He always lit up the scene while he was with us, and the glow will persist…

I fondly remember Lenny when he was a singer (I believe bass) with the Sultans...they first played at our Junior Prom @ Trinity...Lenny was always a very good man , husband and role model for his family...I last saw Lenny when I was visiting back in Louisville in 1983...he was a good friend of one of my Buckeye alums, Denny O’Connel...Lenny always lit up the scene while was with us, and his glow will persist...

Just found out about Lenny...That makes me so sad.  He was full of so much love and fun and mischief.  Randy and I were just talking about him the other day.  I just feel lucky to have known him and send our thoughts and prayers to his family.  I am sure you will miss his great laugh.  Xerox functions were not as much fun after he retired.  We will miss you, Kendri and Randy

Rest in peace dear friend.  Maybe there is another Shawnee High School and more R&R bands in heaven where we will all sing and dance together again.

Lenny was such a good man and a great friend to my husband, John. They became friends working together at Xerox. When John was too ill to work, Lenny would come to our house to have lunch with him. I will always remember his kindness and the cheerfulness he brought to us. I am sure he is making his beautiful music in heaven.

My dad worked with Lenny at Xerox and they became good friends.  I remember Lenny as very kind, with a great sense of humor and always fun to be around.  Our whole family enjoyed going to hear the Sultans play.

So sorry to hear about Lenny!  Mike and I were out of the country and didn't see this until yesterday.   He was a great singer and person.  Our prayers are with you during this difficult time!  Mike and Debbie Kennedy.

John, you and your family are in our thoughts this week. I only met your dad a couple times, but I remember that he was always such a nice, warm person.  Very sorry for your loss.

Lenny was such a special man. To be in his presence was always a joy. His gentle, sincere and humorous personality came through in every situation. I count knowing Lenny as one of God's special blessings.

How wonderful that our daughter married Jody Whatley and we got to enjoy the Whatley clan.  How fabulous it was to have Lenny and the Sultans play at their reception.
Truly a gentle and loving man who was such fun to be around and always smiling.
Thank you for being the grandpa who played boogy man with Lily and Lucas and made them laugh so much.

The moment Cabrini introduced Lenny to us, it changed the dynamics of our family forever. I was so in awe of his presence.
Then came John and Charlie! I cherish  being a part of their childhood. Lenny's music brought us together, these many years.
The sound of his voice, talking, or singing, brought happiness to all!

Working in the Sultans with Lennie was always a pleasure.  Lenny was always very professional and his word was his bond.

As a Shawnee HS graduate who grew up in the West End, I will always remember Lenny as a true gentleman and multi-talented musician. I played saxophone in another West End R&R band , the Kinetics, becoming acquainted with the Sultans and all the Louisville bands of that era. I admired his gentle demeanor and know he must be missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in God's hands.

Lenny was always nice to me when I was a new kid on the block in music business.

Loved the guy. We go back to 1945, played ball in grade school chased the same girls, gave the nuns at St. Columba a lot of grief and had a great time in the summertime in the west end. His friendship will always be treasured.

Lenny was always just a joy to be around. He was always laughing and cutting up. I enjoyed the many years of working with Lenny at Xerox. May he rest in peace. Vicky Holman

Lenny and the Sultans brought such great pleasure to us (from 1958 on) and to so many, many other music and dance lovers. Lenny was always cordial to us where ever we went to enjoy the band. Our deepest sympathy to Lenny's family and may he and Cosmo be providing much joy with their heavenly band.

So many memories of this gentle giant with the booming bass voice.  He brought joy to many with his signature smile.  May you find peace in knowing that he truly has found his own everlasting peace and eternal joy.
