LESLIE GLENN SPROWS was born May 21, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was called home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Smithy and George Sprow, and a brother, Frank A. Shoulders, Jr.
Leslie accepted Christ at an early age under the late Rev. F. W. Browder. His Christian upbringing throughout his life was at the Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church.
He graduated from Central High School in 1972 and retired in 2005 after 31 years of service at P. Lorillard. After retirement, Leslie continued to work several jobs. He later became a travel agent and had a limousine service. Leslie loved sports and the U of L Cardinals was his #1 favorite basketball team. “Have SUITCASE WILL TRAVEL” was his motto! He always had a suitcase packed ready to go because he loved to travel.
Leslie was electronics savvy. He had to have the latest in TV’s, computers, laptops, cameras, and gadgets.
Leslie was married to Rannora Rudolph for 40 years and to this union a daughter was born, Shenora Lynnea Sprows. He is the father to Leslie Glenn Sprows, Jr. and step-father to Sherrell Rudolph Payne.
Leslie was an excellent and loving grandfather. He was affectionately called Paw Paw by Ahryan and Ahzyion, as well as grandfather to Dezzaray, Ariell, Lanique, Jerrell and Jershai.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Rannora Sprows; children: Shenora Sprows (Anthony); Sherrell Payne (Jerry); Leslie Glenn Sprows, Jr; Sisters: Sharon Shoulders, Gail Graves; Brothers: Maurice Gasaway, Sr., Ronnie Spry; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
