Lezlie Ann Summers

Lezlie was a beloved Wife, Mother, and Nana. She was a proud lifetime resident of Crescent Hill and the former resident manager of the Peterson-Dumesnil House along with her husband for 4 years. She was awarded the “Spirit of Crescent Hill Award” in 2013.

Lezlie was a Deputy Clerk with the Jefferson County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office for 25 years, retiring in 2005. After retirement, she worked part-time for the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office at the information desk in the lobby of the Hall of Justice. She prided herself in assisting the public and the attorneys there daily.

She married her high school sweetheart Michael in 1973 at Crescent Hill United Methodist Church and they shared 50 years of marriage. Lezlie enjoyed boat rides, trips to the lake, entertaining, Derby parties, holidays, gardening, watching videos on YouTube and creating memories with her family.

Left to carry on her memory and love is her husband Michael Summers; daughter, Jennifer Fanning (Dennis); son, Todd Summers (Kara); grandchildren, Kevin Fanning, Rachel Fanning, McKayla Summers and Austin Lawrey; several cousins, lifelong friends and her dog, “Dutch”.

Lezlie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. Barker and Mary Ann Barker Curts and her step-father, James E. Curts.

Visitation will be held from 1-6 PM on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, November 27, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blue River Chapel Cemetery in Corydon, IN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Circuit Clerk’s Trust for Life, Inc.” or “Deputy Sheriff’s FOP Lodge 25”
