Linda G Cooper

Linda was born in Louisville, KY and attended Valley High School. She loved to cook, crochet, and was an avid reader. She taught many people these skills, providing lessons at her church and through her work with the Laotian refugees. Her children and grandchildren carry on her legacy with their love of cooking, reading, and her granddaughter’s love of crocheting.

Linda and her husband, Donnie, loved to explore Kentucky and all the surrounding states. They made several trips around the United States to visit family members stationed away from Kentucky. More recently, they would find joy hitting the backroads close to home, finding and trying all the local restaurants.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Irene Waldrews.

She is survived by her soulmate and husband of 63 years, Donald Cooper; her son Robert Cooper (Teresa) and daughter Cheyenne Reese (Michael); her grandchildren Zachery Cooper, Lauren Cooper, and Grayson Reese; her sister Susan Hartz; and her niece Lisa Cooper (Alan).

Funeral service will be 12PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40218 with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 10AM-12PM, Wednesday, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven.
