Linda S. Napper

Linda Sue Napper, age 74 passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Linda was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John Payne Sr. and Mary Payne. Linda loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, sewing, and watching Kentucky basketball. She was a member of the KYANA car club with her late husband.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years Ronnie Napper, brother John Payne Jr., and a host of beloved in-laws.

Linda is survived by her daughters; Laura Lambert, Lisa Napper, and Ronna Schultz (Charles), her sister Dana Payne and sister-in-law Bettie Sue Napper who helped care for her, siblings; Theresa Legler and Michael Payne, grandchildren; Erica Napper (Matt), Taylor Andrews (Bryce), DJ Lambert (Megan), Dylan Napper (Amber), great-grandchildren; Zoey, Ava, Nora, Harper, Grayson, and Sutton.

Linda spent the last of her time in Hosparus Health of Louisville and her family would like to extend the deepest gratitude toward the doctors and nurses of Hosparus that cared so compassionately for their mother.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude’s or the Dementia Society of America, two charities that meant so much to Linda.

A visitation for Linda will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:00pm with a funeral service that will occur Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home.
