She was a retired Surgical Tech Nurse for University Hospital where she worked up to age 80, and was a Southern Baptist by faith.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rev. Benny Render; and her son-in-law Martez Hughes. She is survived by her children Sherry Hughes, Leah Brewer (Vince), Laura Savely, and Rev. Kenneth Render (Laura); a sister, Betsy Miner (Robert); grandchildren Mark Kuzma (Jennifer), Natalie Russell, Eric Kuzma, Kurt Savely (Brittany), Kyle Savely (Lauren), Mindy O’Neal (Larry), Preston Render (Renee), Lydia Render (Patrick), and Richmon Render (Caroline); and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am - 10:00 am Saturday, January 17, at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd, with a funeral service starting at 10:00. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
