Her family was not expecting for Liz’s life to be cut so short so soon. We are devastated by this huge loss and she will be forever missed. She was a kind, caring, and giving soul who always put the needs of others before herself. She would light up a room with her infectious smile and loving personality becoming the center of any gathering.
Born on July 1, 1970, Liz is survived by her Mom, Linda and Dad, John, Sister, Leslie (Kirk) Tudor, Nieces, Nina and Claire Tudor, her fur babies, Poppy and Whimpy and many relatives and great friends who loved her dearly. Liz is now healthy, joining her father, Larry and her Grandparents on both sides whom she loved so much that preceded her in death.
Liz was a 1988 graduate of Louisville’s Southern High School where she excelled in ROTC achieving many awards for her marksmanship. In 1989, she joined the United States Navy as a Seabee. After discharge from the Navy, she continued her education at Murray State University where she received her Masters’ Degree. In 1996, she joined KCTCS (Jefferson Community College) where she worked in IT and advanced her way to Associate Professor in CIS. She enjoyed teaching and advising young adults on their educational journey being a lover of life-long learning herself.
Coming from a racing family, Liz was an adventure seeker. She enjoyed motorcycles, guns, being a Derby City Roller Girl as well as many other outdoor activities. Her love for her many animals and adventure brought out the happy free spirit that defined her. Liz also had a love of music especially Pink and we enjoyed many concerts as a family together.
Her love for adventure, the outdoors and music were only surpassed by the love she had for her family. The relationship she had with her mother and sister was like no other. They shared an unbreakable bond, often referring to themselves as the “Three Musketeers”. Liz was always the most doting Aunt to her Nieces, loving them to the Moon and Back. All the girls’ friends knew “Iz” for the fun birthday parties and adventures that they had together. She loved them with all her heart.
After Cremation, A Celebration Open House of Lisbeth’s Life will be held on Wednesday, August 17th from 10am – 2pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, Louisville, Kentucky. There will be a Military Memorial at 2pm. Lisbeth will be buried in her favorite place, at sea in Panama City Beach, Florida.
