With love and fond memories to last a lifetime:

Sitting with Liz at hundreds of ballgames over the years, fixing her hair in those special curls, She had loved the color green back then, going bowling, dancing, picnics at the house, having those long conversations when the tornado hit the Whelan house, walking the property on Wilson Creek Road, the time you took me to Lydia Drexler’s farm and the bull chased us, your toy poodle,Roxie, many discussions re: pregnancy and having my daughter, watching how Liz was a wonderful grandmother and knowing that her house was the first place my daughter wanted to visit. Her house was the place to be every Holiday, Teaching me how to fry squash and making dumplins along with other foods I didn’t know how to make. And, especially how she loved all of her children and was so proud of everyone of them.

Time may pass and fade away but memories of you will always stay. You were a great mother-in-law to me and a wonderful friend later. All of the fond memories are a part of my life, and I will never forget you. Thank you Mrs. Whelan for being a wonderful grandma to my daughter. May God Bless You, and I pray that you are with Al as he simply adored you.
