Lois Elaine "Berta" Cavanaugh

Lois Elaine “Berta” Cavanaugh, 74, of Louisville passed from this life on Tuesday April 28, 2015. She was the former Lois E. Jarrett, retired from the City Of Louisville tax department, and a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Lois loved her crafts, birds and was a longtime volunteer at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis B. Cavanaugh Jr., an infant daughter, 2 sisters, Patsy & Jackie; 1 brother, Donnie; and her beloved dog, (Heidi). Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Terri Greenwell (Troy); sons, Michael (Lynn), Mark and Bruce Shackelford; 3 grandchildren, Emily, Hannah, and Justin Shackelford; 3 brothers, William, Bobby (Sue), and Gary (Sue); and 4 sisters, Dianne, Nancy (Larry), Phyllis (Mike), and Brenda (Brad). A funeral mass for Lois will be held at 10 am Friday at St. Thomas More, 6105 So. 3rd St. with interment to follow in St. Michael Cemetery. The family would like to invite everyone to a celebration of Lois’ life after the interment at St. Thomas More cafeteria. With respect to Lois’ wishes there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family ask that any contributions be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association. The Southern Chapel of Arch L.
