
Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, July 11, 1952, Lonnie was the son of the lates’ Lonzo Meredith and Ruby Helen Lindsey. He was an Ordained Minister, held a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Ministerial Work and Evangelism, was a former hotel concierge and was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church in downtown Louisville. He took great joy in hearing songs such as Turn Your Eyes Toward Jesus, Does Jesus Care. Because He Lives and Abide In Me, among others. His church home and family held a very special place in his heart.
Besides his parents, Lonzo and Ruby Helen Meredith; his brother, Larry Allen Meredith, Sr., precedes Lonnie in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Janet (Richard) Rosenbaum; nephews, Michael (April) Miller, Tony Miller and Larry Allen Meredith, Jr. and their families; his Immanuel Baptist Church Family; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, where a reception will follow. Lonnie will be entombed privately in the Mausoleum of St. Mark of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home – Southern Chapel.
