
Louis Charles Blair, 84, of Mount Washington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025. He was born on September 23, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, to James E. and Mary Catherine (Godfrey) Blair.
Louis loved golfing, playing cards and hunting. He traveled all over the United States on several hunting trips. If you knew Louis, you know he had plenty of favorite sayings and quotes. Some of them being, “don’t get too excited”, “no hill for a climber”, “holy moly”, “put it on the green”, and “half a cup”. He enjoyed watching sports, especially golf. Above all, Louis loved his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband, uncle, coach to his daughters and friend.
He will be missed.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents, James E. (Mary Catherine) Blair; his brothers, James E. Blair Jr., Ronald Patrick Blair Sr.; his sister, Mary L. Blair French Coghill; and his children, Jeffrey Scott Blair and Kelly Renee Blair.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Claudette Winstead Blair of 62 years; two daughters, Karen (Terry) Aulbach, Andrea (Kenny) Blackmon; three grandchildren, Kristi (Chris) Blanks, Kristal (Alex) Wilson, Logan Blackmon; five great-grandchildren, C.J. Blanks, Carter Blanks, Maddie Wilson, Jules Wilson, Kinzie Wilson; two siblings, Robert E.( Sharon) Blair, Alma (Jim) Blair Middleton; daughter in law, Michelle Blair; and other beloved family members.
A visitation for Louis will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 1:00PM to 6:00PM, and will resume on Monday January 5th, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the same location on Monday January 5th at 12:00PM. He will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery.
