She was the former Louise Jewell, a native of Spencer County KY., a retired social worker, a member of the Louisville Girls High School Alumni, and a 78-year member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Teddy B. Rice Sr., and a son, Teddy B. Rice, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Rundall (Alan); a son, Don G. Rice, Sr. (Marsha); five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Rice's life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research.
