She was a retired Office Manager for the old General Box Company.
Louise was a member and long time volunteer for Bethel St. Paul Church and the 59ers Senior Group at Bethel.
She was a former member of the West Louisville Evangelical Reform Church.
Louise remained active and independent until the last two weeks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Middendorf and her parents, Louis and Louise Reiss.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Ann Elizabeth Bensing; 2 nephews, Richard Bensing (Kathy), Gary Bensing (Cheryl); 1 niece, Gayle Bensing; 1 great-nephew, Jason Bensing (Rachel); 3 great-nieces, Kelly Bensing, Tara Bensing Stevens (Merwan), Kayla Bensing; 1 great-great-nephew Ryan Bensing; 1 great-great-niece Lacey Bensing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy the family has requested memorial gifts to Bethel St. Paul Church or Wayside Christian Mission.
