Magdalena Rivera, a beacon of unwavering faith and love, passed away peacefully at home on September 4, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on November 12, 1961, in Brooklyn, NY, Magdalena's life was a testament to the strength and resilience that defined her character.

Magdalena's journey began as the cherished daughter of Maria and Teleforo Nieves Sr. Her infectious smile and generous spirit were a comfort to all who knew her. Magdalena's life was marked by her deep devotion to her family and her faith, a devotion that was the cornerstone of her existence.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fernando Rivera Sr., and her treasured sons, Fernando Rivera Jr. and Jonathan Rivera. The legacy of Magdalena's kind-hearted nature and unwavering faith lives on through her loving daughter, Zulena Murphy and her husband Alex, as well as her devoted daughter-in-law, Angela Rivera, grandchildren Arista, Fernando, Avianna,Gabriella, Amiliya,Braxton,Sophia, Celestia. Also her fiancé Vidal. A host of family and friends.

Magdalena's life was a living example of her faith-filled spirit. She navigated life's challenges with grace and always found strength in her beliefs. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her daily actions and the compassionate way she interacted with everyone she met.

A visitation for Magdalena will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 3PM to 8PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on September 11, 2025 at 12PM. Magdalena will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
