Margaret was born to Edith and Julian on July 15, 1943, in Jamestown, Ky. She spent 18 years in management working at Blue Cross Blue Shield. She supported the Credit Union by serving many years on the Board of Directors reviewing loans and helping others with their career development.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Margaret also loved working in her garden, travelling, fishing, staying actively involved helping her grandchildren, and holding various volunteer roles at church over the years. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
We will remember Margaret for her loving nature, her joyfulness, and her occasional, endearing stubbornness. She always doted on her loved ones. We couldn’t spend a minute with her without her telling us how much she loved us, how beautiful she thought we were, and how proud she was of us.
Margaret joins her parents, Edith (McFall) and Julian McWhorter and sister Lucy Helm, Jeanie Halsell and brothers J.R. McWhorter and Orvis Glen McWhorter in Heaven.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald, her sister, Orene Tucker, her children, Tena Preston, Tonya Jacobs and her grandchildren, Nick, Kristina, Max, Josie, and Jaxson. Great grandchildren, Kaylie, Sammi, Nick, Ryan and Cameron.
We will miss her sweet soul dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with her. All the laughs and amazing memories made. We will always feel her presence in our hearts. To God all the glory!
