

Affectionately known as "Mimi", she lived a long, full life filled with family & friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her mother Daisy Belle Leach Robinson, father Marcus L. Robinson, husband Simon Elmo Spangler, her daughter Linda Garber, son Don Spangler, son in law Dennis Garber and brothers Ralph and James Robinson.
Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, she will be remembered for her wonderful home cooking and the ability to make everyone feel welcome whether in her home in Charlotte, NC or at the family home in St. Matthews where she lived for more than 50 years.
Mimi loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they grew up and enjoyed attending ballgames, concerts, dance recitals ad many other events over the years. She was an avid fan of UK Basketball the Cincinnati Reds and often enjoyed the daily crossword puzzle. She was a devoted member of the Covenant Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.
Mourning her loss are her sole remaining sibling, Bella "Dean" Todd, daughter-in-law, Carol Spangler, grandchildren, Kristi Linn (Jon) Nykamp, Amy Lee Hamilton, Carey Anne Hamilton, Clayton Spangler, great grandchildren Stephanie Nykamp, Brennen Davis, Timothy Nykamp, Dallas Davis, Matthew Nykamp, James "Trey" Thompson & Delaney Thompson and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be conducted at 2 pm, March 19, 2014 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation starting at noon Wednesday until service time.
