Marie "Woozie" E. Stoess

Marie "Woozie" E. Stoess, age 92 passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Marie was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Nellie and Henry Kappesser. Her brother, Raymond Kappesser (Barbara), two sons; Raymond "Pete" Tindal and Louis "Willie" Tindal, grandson, Tony Holland, the father of her children, Alfred Tindal and late husband, Charles A, Stoess, also preceded her in passing.

Marie had a servants heart, always helping others. She was a former member of Emmanuel Church of Christ. Marie never lost her faith, passing along the love of God to others. She retired from the University of Louisville Campus as a custodian supervisor. Before, Marie retired, she had become a caregiver, assisting families for many years. If marie wasn't helping others, she was spending time with her family. Her favorite time was camping on the water, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Here to carry on her memory are her children; Bernice Nalley (Stanley), James R. Tindal, Ronald "Ronnie" K. Tindal (Theresa), Terry G. Tindal (Thelma), twenty grandchildren, fifty-six great grandchildren, twenty-two great great grandchildren, sister Alice J. Holloway, and sister-in-laws; Vickie and Mary Tindal.

Visitation for Marie will occur on Tuesday, May 21st from 1-8PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 22nd from 10-12PM with a Celebration of Life service to follow, beginning at 12PM. Marie will be laid to rest within Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.
