Mario was born on December 31st, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mario was a long-time chef and kitchen manager, bringing powerful flavors to local restaurants such as L&N Wine Bar and Bistro and Anoosh Bistro, until his retirement from the industry in 2020. He was renowned for his dedication to his craft; his ability to make something out of nothing, or to make a good thing, even greater. Mario will be remembered not only for his culinary prowess, but his generosity, honesty, knowledge, and wisdom, that poured over every person he spoke to and throughout every room he entered.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mario led a quiet life and enjoyed putting a new spin on his classic dishes in his home kitchen, completing Sudoku puzzles at the hardest difficulty, mastering video games that he could brag to his daughter about, and watching through extensive movie catalogues with his partner.
Mario was a beloved father to his daughter, Marissa, and a dedicated partner to his soul mate, Marsha. In addition to them, he leaves behind a host of other loving family and caring friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial will be held on Monday, March 10th from 12-1pm at Arch L. Heady and Son-Cralle Funeral Home: 2428 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206.
