

Marsha Lynn Jenkins, born January 17, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on January 3, 2026. She was a woman of remarkable strength, unwavering conviction, and extraordinary intellect—paired with a deep and genuine love for the people in her life.
Marsha was the daughter of William and Nancy Jenkins and was raised in Louisville alongside her four sisters. From an early age, she displayed a sharp mind, strong will, and a determination that would define her path. Marsha was a devoted and deeply loving mother to her daughter, Kathleen Lambert. Kathleen was the center of her world, and Marsha took immense pride in the woman she became.
She attended St. John Vianney, Holy Rosary Academy, she then went on to the University of Kentucky, where she later graduated at the top of her class at UofK Law School. She was constantly cultivating her love of learning. Education was not just a chapter in her life—it was a lifelong passion. Curiosity, thoughtfulness, and intellectual engagement remained constants for her, even well into retirement.
An attorney by profession, Marsha took immense pride in her career and in the dedication it took to earn that title. After more than three decades of legal practice serving the Lexington and Louisville communities, including roles supporting Louisville MSD, she retired from the practice of law in the early 2010s She was intelligent, driven, and unwavering in her beliefs. Her strength and her determination shaped both her professional and personal life.
She showed her love through presence, loyalty, and a steady willingness to stand beside those she cared for. She truly loved people—and they felt it.
Born to the late William and Nancy Jenkins, Marsha is also preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Conrad.
Here to carry on her memory is her daughter, Kathleen Lambert; her sisters Susan Williams (Mark), Cindy Christensen (Mike), Alice Voss (Charlie), and Phyllis Jenkins Meyers; and her nieces and nephews, Andrea Williams Foster, Brian Williams, Kristen Butler, Jacobe Christensen, Joshua Voss, Michael Voss, Rebecca Voss, and Scott Conti.
She will be remembered for her sharp mind, strong spirit, and the deep care she carried for those fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
A visitation for Marsha will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky, 40218.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place on the following day at Epiphany Catholic Church, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road, Louisville, Kentucky, 40223, beginning at 11:00 AM.
Marsha will be buried in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Louisville.
