She is survived by her children, James E. Steedly Jr. (Priscilla), of Louisville, Doris Jean Ramey, of Montgomery and Ronald Leon Steedly (Judy) of Jupiter, FL; eight grandchildren, Chris Ramey, Brian Ramey, William Steedly, Ann Steedly (Rineer), Jennifer Steedly Duncan, Drew Steedly, Sheri Steedly Weathers and Julie Steedly Jordan; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Steedly was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, James E. Steedly Sr.
She was valedictorian of the first graduating class of Fairdale High School. She was also a lifelong member of the Baptist church and a Sunday school teacher for many years. Visitation will be at the Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Highway. from 4 -8 p.m. Thursday and services will be at 10 a.m. Friday with Rev. Daniel Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
