Martha Nall Burkeen

Martha, or Grandma as we liked to call her, was born in Mayfield, Kentucky on November 27, 1915 to Leonard and Milli Nall. Grandma was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church for over 45 years and was a long time church visitor. Grandma was active in the Women’s and Homemaker’s Group and Sunday school. In her youth, Martha was a teacher in Western Kentucky. Grandma held the distinction of being an outstanding cook; her pimento cheese was famous to all who knew her.

Martha was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 50 years Leonard Burkeen. She is also predeceased by parents Leonard and Milli Nall, brothers Johnny and Robert Nall.

Martha is survived by daughters Beverly Jochim, Jenny Fekete, and son Bobby Burkeen. She is survived by 6 grandchildren, Brian Jochim, Brett Jochim Schmidt, Bart Jochim, Sean Burkeen, Adam Fekete, and Brianne Fekete. Grandma is also survived by four great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Sunday, the March 27 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church. Visitation at 3:00 pm followed by the service at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Red Cross.

Interment will be at Cave Hill Cemetery beside her beloved Leonard.
