Mary Lynne Gordon

Born and raised in Louisville, Mary was the eldest of seven siblings. A proud graduate of Morehead State University, she earned her nursing degree and went on to dedicate over 40 years to serving as a labor and delivery nurse, a proud career marked by compassion, strength, and grace.

Mary was a devoted mother, fun-loving grandmother, and loyal friend. She was known for her adventurous spirit, quick wit, and unwavering love for those closest to her. She found joy in the simple things, spending time outdoors, sipping a Diet Coke, and riding her beloved Harley. Her heart was as fierce as it was tender, and she brought warmth and laughter to every room she entered.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Noel and Alvin, and her sister, Dana.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carlos and Cadie; her treasured grandchildren, Kingston and Kinslee; her siblings, Mark, Daniel, Gina, James, and Steven; her Aunt Lynne; her soul-sister, Donna; and her best friend, Charlene.

A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM, with services to follow at 6:00 PM.

Mary’s legacy of love and resilience lives on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
