Medina was born on April 2, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky to parents’ Waldo Briggs & Earleen Glenn. She held an associate’s degree in Data Entry from Jefferson Community and Technical College, where she worked in accounts receivables, Excel, book keeping and date entry for B.A. Merchants. Medina was a member of Harvest Baptist Church for over 30 years, where she was active in Sunday school and was an Awana Counselor and Leader. She loved to crochet. She always loved to talk, never meeting a stranger. She loved the field of Forensic Sciences, she could often be found watching Forensic Files, Criminal Minds and other shows along the sort. She had a love for animals, especially dogs and cats; and also loved good food and Mtn. Dew.
Her parents, Waldo Briggs & Earleen Glenn Briggs Wise; sister, Teresa Ann Briggs & aunt & uncle, J.B. & Hallie Glenn, precede Medina in her passing.
Left to cherish her memory is her son; Nathan (Jonda) Shaw; step – children, Jason Shaw & Jeremy Shaw; sisters, Saundra (Gary) Arms, Glenda (Duane) Woods; lots of nieces & nephews; plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Harvest Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
