Melinda "Mindy" Beard Montano

Mindy was born August 18, 1961 in Lebanon, Kentucky. She grew up in Campbellsville, Kentucky and graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1979, She worked over 40 years as a surgical assistant in plastic surgery and touched many lives during their recovery and healing.

Mindy had a zest for life and deep love of God. Despite enduring many hardships in life, she always accepted God's plan, chose positivity, and carried herself with grace and confidence. Mindy was an avid, competitive tennis player, traveler, painter, and self-appointed "organizer of fun." Her son and grandchildren were a source of great joy. Time spent with Mimi was always a guaranteed good time.

Mindy is survived by her devoted husband, Tony Montano, her son Jeremy Beard, step daughters Morgan (Matthew) Brutscher and Makenzie Montano (D.J. Scott, fiance), and grandchildren Landon, Bryce, Madelyn, and Autumn Beard, and Mia and Miles Brutscher. She is also survived by her stepmother, Josephine Mann, siblings Denise (DeWayne) Squires, Bill (Kate) Mann, Tammy (Darrell) McDowell, and Tonya Mann (Lance Dudley) and her Aunt Marlene Hourigan. Additionally, she was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws from the Beard and Montano families and an abundance of cherished friends.

Mindy was preceded in death by her late husband Mickey Beard, son Jordan Beard, William Mann (father), and Carol Joyce Hourigan Becker (mother).

The family would like to thank Hosparus of Louisville and all the nurses and staff at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 6-8 PM at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218. Visitation will resume Friday, April 24 from 10-12 PM followed by a service held in Mindy’s honor beginning at 12 PM. She will be laid to rest privately at Resthaven Memorial Park.
