Michael served in the National Guard as a 64 Charlie, and was a welder at JeffBoat. He was a member of Faith Chapel General Baptist Church. Michael was passionate about spreading God's word and reading the bible, and was active in ministering to residents in nursing facilities. He enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing, and even owned his own sewing machine. Michael was an avid cyclist, and loved tending to his trees, plants, and garden.
He is survived by his brother, Stephen Diersing; cousin, Deborah (Chris) Sturgen; and niece, Jennifer (Andrew) Pharris.
A visitation for Michael will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. He will be laid to rest privately in Resthaven Memorial Park.
