He was a loving and kind-natured man. He was a prolific artist and part of the “UnFair” Art Show where he sold many of his dark paintings. Aside from painting he enjoyed playing the guitar and fishing. He was a radar tech with the US Navy while stationed on a submarine. Michael was an Eagle Scout with Troop 461, and a graduate of Moore High School. He enjoyed listening to Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, poetry by Edgar Allen Poe, and the art of Jackson Pollock.
Michael is survived by his mom, Virginia M. Goins; dad Lewis Goins (Dorothy), sisters Jessica and Michelle; brother Robert; nephew Jordan Lewis and niece Alexis Lewis and his grandparents, Ruby and Louis Goins, Sr and Louise and the late Rondall Sturgeon.
A memorial service will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 6pm. Visitation is Friday from 2 pm until time of service.
