Michael Carl Rains

He was born on May 4, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Raymond Carl (RC) Rains and Judy "Rosie" (Melton) Rains.

He was married to the love of his life Diane (Curran) Rains on August 10, 1985.

A lover of learning and exploring new things, Michael graduated from Iroquois High School in 1972. He went on to study at University of Louisville and Murray State University, and received a degree in electronics from National Education Center and then a Master's in Church History from Louisville Bible College. He was an employee of Norton Healthcare for 42 years where he worked as an Anesthesia Technician and later Clinical Engineering Technician before retiring in June 2020.

Michael loved fixing and tinkering with old things as well as building new things. He was a lover of dogs and loved spoiling and taking care of his puppy, Abby.

Left to cherish Michael's memory, his loving wife of 38 years Diane (Curran) Rains, sisters Sundra Hughes and Carla Rains, and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16 from 2-8PM and on Thursday, August 17 from 10-12PM

with a Celebration of Michael's life to follow. All services will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. Michael will be laid to rest within Resthaven Memorial Park.
