He is preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Louis “Sonny” Wilson, sister Mary Francis Wilson, and brothers Louis and Ronnie “Fred” Wilson.
Mike was a proud alumni of Atherton High School and worked for JCPS for many years in a variety of roles. As a lover of all sports, Mike loved playing anything with his brother Rick and lifelong friend Perry Nutt. He was extremely talented with his hands and could fix just about anything and received extreme joy from doing so. Mike was also known as a jokester and his family was usually on the receiving end of his humor.
Mike leaves to cherish his memory his son Brock Wilson (Nicole), daughter Blair Howe (Bryan), grandchildren; Loren, Izzy, and Gavin, brothers Rick (Vanessa) and Raymond, sisters Terry, Nita, Tina, and Debbie, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. The family would like to thank Theresa Beckman in particular who helped Mike so much during these past few difficult years.
A funeral service for Mike will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 11am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady- Cralle Funeral Home 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206 with visitation prior from 10am-11am.
