Nancy Joan Franklin

Nancy J (Stoltz) Franklin Age 87 of Louisville, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025. She was born in Louisville, KY, on August 7th 1937 to the late Clarence Stoltz and Gertrude (Snipp) Stoltz. Nancy was a loving and generous wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend. She retired from Audubon Hospital. Nancy had a special passion for sports, she was an avid University of Louisville fan, but loved watching all sports. Nancy enjoyed spending time at the Rough River, fishing, boating, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoyed antique cars (1979 Trans AM, 1951 Mercury). She was a member of a bowling league. Nancy was a member of Louisville Lead Car Club for many years, where they hosted a monthly cruise in, charity drives, traveled, and shared many memories with friends and family. Nancy was family oriented, always spending time with family. She was a feisty, headstrong, loving woman. She was everyone’s rock and everyone’s go to. There really wasn’t a day that someone wasn’t stopping by to visit. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her sons; Kurt Lyle and Kevin Franklin, and siblings; William "Bill" Stoltz (Phyllis), Robert "Bob" Stoltz (Betty), Mary Madden (Bill), and Dallas Stoltz (Flora).

Left to cherish Nancy's memory is her husband of 39 years; Charles "Sonny" Franklin, children; Alisa Johnson, Karla Peck, Kari Wooldridge, Eric Lyle (Karen), Kreg Lyle, Charles "Sonny" Franklin, Jr. (Melinda), siblings; Charles Stoltz (Donna), Sandra "Sandy" Stoltz (Don), Linda Payne (David), Ronald "Ronnie" Stoltz (Diane), and Gail Singleton (Bobby), 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Nancy will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
