Noreen Patricia Pryor

Noreen Patricia Pryor (nèe MacSweeney) of Louisville, KY., passed peacefully on August 7, 2021. Noreen will join her beloved husband, James Pryor. She was the loving mother of the late Matthew and Brendan; Maura Mason (Lemuel); Douglas (Marisa), and Myles Pryor (Maia). Grandmother to Dean; Ryan and Dillon; Liana, Lara, and Elyse; Zachary, Daniel, and Caleb, and step-grandson Colin Mason and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jack.

Noreen, born to Patrick and Catherine MacSweeney (nèe Moriarty), on March 3, 1933, she joins her beloved sister Kathleen and brothers Terence and Kevin. Leaving behind her many treasured nieces, nephews and their children.

Noreen was a practicing Catholic who felt a special bond with Mother Mary and Mother Seton, prayed daily for guidance and strength. She was an avid lover of history and the arts. An enthusiastic researcher she would often speak of literature, the architecture of New York City, classic movies, and “the good old days.” She was an eloquent writer and terminal note taker! Noreen had a generous nature and was quick witted. Her philosophical and humorous conversations will be missed.

Visitation and a short service will be held at Arch L. Heady and Son at 7410 Westport Rd., Louisville, KY 40222 on Friday August 13, 2021, 5-6pm visitation and a short service at 6:00pm. ‘
