Opal Rose Leone

Opal was a 1953 graduate of Jeffersonville High School, Jeffersonville, IN.

Opal retired from General Electric.

Opal was a member of the Ladies Auxilary VFW Post 5710 of Shepherdsville and American Legion Auxilary of Jeffersonville, IN.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Leone; parents, Jefferson & Nellie McDonald; and siblings, John Lee McDonald, Joe McDonald, Ruth McDonald-Lopez, Nellie Knowland, and Jack McDonald.

Opal is survived by her daughter, Bonnie McDonald; grandchildren, Jesse McDonald and Abby McDonald; sister-in-law, Wilma McDonald; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at noon on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, with memorial visitation one hour prior to service.

Cremation was chosen and a private burial will be at a later date in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN next to her late husband.
