Patricia A. Compton

Pat struggled with illness throughout her adult life. She is now in Christ's loving arms and free of all pain.

She is preceded in death by her parents James and Stella Hennessy, sister Kathleen Barnett, sons Vincent Gregory Cornwell, Matthew Cornwell and Brian Cornwell, and husband Edwin Compton.

She is survived by her siblings, Jim Hennessy (Beverly), Johnny Hennessy (Becky), Margaret Hershey, her children, Mary Compton (Edwin), Julie Murphy (Mark), Tim Cornwell (Michelle), Paula Greenwell (Danny), Greg Cornwell (Heather), Gina Compton and thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

The family would like to recognize and thank the loving and amazingly skilled Hosparus team who cared for Pat in her final months.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to The Little Sisters of the Poor St. Joseph's Home.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.

Patricia will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, Kentucky.
