Dear Paul's family and friends,

You do not know me, and it has been ages since I saw Paul, but I have some very clear memories of him.  His mom and my mom coached softball together at SMM.  I was one year behind Paul in school.  I will never forget his laugh or his smile!  He was always trying to make us laugh.  He was always nice and definitely fun!

I am so sorry for your loss.  I am sure he was just as wonderful as a husband, dad, grandfather, brother and friend.

Patty, you may not remember Kathy and I but we enjoyed many fun times with Paul, Jacque, Tim and the gang.  I played volleyball with Paul, Jacque and Tim for many years.  Your kids were grades school age at the time.  Our daughters were a bit older. We've missed spending time together but as you know our children sometimes dictate our schedules.  We will especially miss Paul's never ending smile and appreciation for life.  You and your family were truly fortunate to have Paul in your life.  Please accept our condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I will always keep him in my thoughts and prayers. The time we worked together at Hunter Knepshield are memories that I will always cherish. Paul was like finding a younger brother that I had been searching for years. We shared the St Xavier Brotherhood and I did rib him a bit of his Cardinal following.  Even though we parted ways years ago, I still remember his laugh and our kidding around as if it were today.

Even in high school, you always knew what to say to make everyone smile and laugh.  I'll remember your kindness and sense of humor. To the family, I am truly sorry for this profound loss, but I know you will keep Paul's light shining.

funny your list is what i shared.. some bowling, lots of volley ball set and smash and fun fun  fun ..always, soft ball you center field me in right.."your gonna get that for me right?"  Yet never a golf game that I played longer than any of those.. so you will share it with me now forward.. Ya know I got a legitimate hole in one once...and Oh could you dance and do the line of da butt,,, and sing along with paradise by the dash board light.... sharing  mozzarella stick.."ya gonna eat that one"  and football games.  Loved our game night and Halloween parties and is that a banana in your pocket or are you just glad to see me..and it was a banana... the journey was soooo good and the gratitude for it soo deep.  The joy you brought and the love you shared that lit up patty life and ours..  even standing over vents for your wedding due to my pits marking my dress.   You became my second brother ..sorry Mark got first dibs.  I love you and both sad and grateful for the journey that has now path.. hey now i will find you closer than 12 hours away .. things looking up.. I will listen for you on the course...and smile and look up when i hear you in the wind or feel you in the sunshine spots i look for with Bagger Vance as my mantra!  I love you and will miss your earthly presence and YOUR wings are lighter and far spread for all to know..see you on the other side one day!
