A graduate of Madisonville High School, Paula carried herself through life with a steady thoughtfulness and a gentle strength that quietly lifted others. Her kindness was not loud or showy—it was consistent, patient, and sincere, offered in everyday ways that made people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for.
Paula was a devoted member of Valley View Baptist Church for more than 60 years, a commitment that reflected a life rooted in compassion and service. She was also involved with Valley Sports Little League for over 50 years, and she gave generously of her time as a Girl Scout Leader. For over 17 years, she ran the after school program for St. Paul School, a role that suited her selfless nature and calm, encouraging presence—one that inspired confidence and comfort in those around her.
Paula’s love for sports was legendary to those close to her. She was a huge sports fan—if a game was on, she was watching, no matter the sport. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and bowling. Just as much as she loved the game, she loved the togetherness that came with it, and her home and her time so often became a gathering place for connection and laughter.
A true social butterfly, Paula cherished being with people. She loved to party, to visit, and to be surrounded by family—especially her grandkids, who held a special place in her heart. She also treasured time at the lake, boating with family and with dear friends, creating moments of closeness that will be remembered with gratitude. She enjoyed playing Bunco with her neighbors and valued the friendship of Trish, Debbie, Jennifer, Sue, and Helen, whose companionship added warmth and joy to her days.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Mason Bevill and Doris “Dutch” Leigh Bevill; her husband, Micheal Cassidy; her daughter, Trina Cassidy; her son, Rock Cassidy; and her grandson, Dallas Cassidy.
