

Ray Zirnheld,77, of Louisville passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Ray was a loving husband who enjoyed sharing the spotlight on the dance floor with his wife Sylvia, and spent his last years devoted to her care. Ray retired from Wine and Schulz after 25 years of loyal service. Ray enjoyed golf, bowling, and was a die hard UK fan. He was a very generous man to everyone he met. He lived by his motto, "the Lord has been very good to me, you can't out give the Lord." He was a man of strong faith and served the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Millie Zirnheld.
Ray is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sylvia Ann Zirnheld; children: Margie Aspatore (Joe), Becky (Joe), Rick (Nancy) Ron (Lisa); siblings: Dick (Sharon), Joyce (Dicky), Danny (Patti), Jeanine Howe, and Gary (Cathy); grandchildren: Kory, Tracy, Liz, Shawn, Jody, Mary, Sam, Cory and Ryan; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A celebration of Ray's life will take place at noon on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 2-8 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 and after 9 a.m. on the day of the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
