Raymond “Frog” “Ray” Wayne Tapp, 66 was born on May 26, 1956 in Louisville, KY. He was born to the late Juanita Gray Tapp and William C. Tapp Jr. He was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on May 29, 2022 with his loved ones by his side. Ray was a Master Electrician, working alongside of his lifelong friend Carl at Carl Windhorst Jr. Electric for many years. Ray perfected his love for gardening by growing the largest garden you could fit in ones backyard and providing all his friends and family with an abundance of fresh vegetables. Ray was the biggest lover of all things horses, you could always catch him at Churchill Downs or making bets on his TVG account. Most years, Ray would attend the Derby wearing hats that he made himself. Ray loved to attend church every Sunday and loved his church family immensely. Ray loved a cold Bud Light, music and his BBQ grill. In fact, most nights you could find him in his back yard with all three. Ray was a 2 time book author and filled notebooks upon notebooks full of poetry. He was exceptionally proud of his published books and would tell anyone with an ear about them. Ray was known as “Gamblin Ray” on local ESPN radio show where he would go on air and provide those who listened with betting tips.
Above all things in life, Ray dearly loved his friends and family with his whole heart. He was always there to help anyone who needed him and the world will not be the same without him. He lived life to the fullest and there was never a dull moment when you were in his presence.
