Regina was born on January 26, 1951 in Louisville, Ky to Bernard and Frances “Ruth” Schwiermann. She graduated from Angela Merici High School in 1969. Soon after she began her career as a cosmetologist until she began living out her dream of raising a family. She built her life on the values of love, faith, and family-always putting others before herself and finding joy in even the smallest moments shared with those she cared about most. She loved cooking, traveling with family, and cheering on her grandkids.
Regina’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her daughters, Kristin Oliverio (Roger) and Dana Haycraft (Steven); grandchildren Lucas and Max Oliverio, Allison, Justin, Emerson and Edie Haycraft; and brother, Bernie Schiwermann, who will forever carry her strength with them.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains ever present-in the smiles she inspired, the kindness she taught, and the love she left behind. Regina’s legacy will live on through her family, who will forever carry her strength and compassion within them.
A funeral mass for Regina will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway, followed by a burial.
