Can hardly believe Rita has been gone for three years.  I can still remember her charming laugh.  Miss her greatly.

We were sad to hear of Rita's passing, she was a beautiful warm and caring lady.  I had not seen Rita in several years, I think the last time was at Mary's visitation.  

I remember hearing her lovely stories and memories of younger days, one time in particular about 12 years ago at a reunion.  It was held off Cardwell Lane near Jane's apartment, and most of her siblings were there.  We also enjoyed meeting cousins and kin at Mary's house in Bald Knob, and once at the Plant Board clubhouse.   I always looked for Rita and liked to sit near her because she was so pleasant and welcoming, as were all the family.  

My deep condolences to the children and grandchildren, God comfort you all.  Your  relatives in Frankfort send our sympathy. 

I met lovely Rita at St. Martha Parish when I was her daughter Gigi’s religious education teacher. We struck up a lifelong friendship. My heart goes out to her family, and I ask God to bless them with the gifts of comfort and peace.

Rita, was a pillar of the community, as well as a  great story/ joke teller and just a lovely human being.  I am a better person for having known  Rita and I will greatly miss her. 

Dear Georgeanne and Mark,
I will always remember your very special Mom as someone who loved people.  She so enjoyed engaging in social discussions with friends about anything and everything.  She brought laughter and joy wherever she was and was so interested in other people.  I’ve enjoyed her stories over many years and am blessed to have known her as a friend for a long time.  She will truy be missed as she has been these past few months when she couldn’t be with us at Hikes Point Woman’s Club  gatherings.

I took care of this special lady my heart aches for her lose but she is in a better place!! Rest in peace rita until we meet again!! 

My Aunt Rita always graciously welcomed me in her life from the day I was born. In all of my memories of her I enjoyed her sense of humor and conversation the most. As I grew older our getting to see one another may not have been as often as I liked due to availability but oh boy when I did get to see her it was always entertaining. She made sure to set up something fun to do. A social butterfly she sure was. I always would pick up on her love for her brother and sisters, especially my mother, Sarah Jane Perry Haden. Even though both Aunt Rita and my mother were adults, Aunt Rita always looked and treated my mother still like the little sister.  It would make me chuckle sometimes how Aunt Rita would talk to my mother (giving her advice and such). But my mother never complained. My mother loved Rita and all of siblings. She would tell me often. I know my mother, despite her nursing home living now, realizing that another one of her beloved sisters is gone. She will be greatly missed. I send my prayers to everyone in our family.

Rita was a member of the Hikes Point Woman's Club for over fifty years.  She served in many different capacities, especially her first  love as Bridge Marathon Chairman.  Her enjoyable sense of humor was sorely missed when she no longer was able to attend  meetings. 
 Those of us who were able to visit her at the nursing homes always came away with a smile until very close to the end.  She will certainly be missed.
 



I am so sorry to learn of Rita’s passing.  She was a lovely person who I actually got to know better in her later years, even though we were family.  I so much enjoyed accompanying Rita and one of her many friends to the theater on multiple occasions (I was the driver, rewarded with their lovely company and the performance).  We drifted in and out of closeness, with family dramas interrupting, but I always thought very highly of her.  She was an absolute love and will be missed.  I’m so glad I got to know her.

May the warmth of sweet remembrances wrap its gentle arms around Gigi, Mark, their families, our families,  and Rita’s many friends.  



Rita, had such a great sense of humor and I have shared some of those funny stories she told me with others.  She will be missed greatly by me, her friends and others. Georgeanne I am so sorry for your loss.
