He was born June 26, 1927 in Pennsylvania, the son of the late Alfred E. Blake, Sr. and Lillian Hess Blake, he was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Robert was a Mechanical Engineer with General Electric for over 30 years. He was also a United States Navy Veteran.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Norma Friend Blake; two daughters, Elaine Wood and husband Leon and Gloria Craycroft and husband Mike; four grandchildren, David Wood, Daniel Wood, James Craycroft, and Joel Craycroft.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 14, 2011 in the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
