Robert H Gary

Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Helen Rueve, his parents, Emory and Mary Ruth Gary, his brother, EJ Gary (Nancy), and his sister, Mary Ann Duffy. He is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Herron and Donna Riggs (JR), as well as numerous nieces and nephews from the Rueve and Gary families.

For over 40 years, Robert dedicated his professional life to J.C. Penney's men's department in Indiana, where his warm smile and helpful nature were fixtures. His colleagues and customers alike appreciated his commitment and friendly service. Prior to his long tenure at J.C. Penney's, he contributed his skills to the Oscar hardware store.

Robert was a Kosair Kid leaving a lasting impact on him with values of community and charity throughout his life.

A lifelong fan of baseball, Robert found joy in watching the Louisville Bats play. His love for the game was only matched by his fascination with trains.

A visitation for Robert will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3938 Poplar Level Rd, Louisville, KY 40213.
