Robert Lee Johnson, 85 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on January 30, 2022. He was born to the late Georgie and Robert Johnson in 1936. Robert was an avid University of Louisville fan who lived life to the fullest. He worked in construction pouring concrete for over 40 years. If Robert was not working, he was spending time with his family and friends laughing and enjoying good Bourbon.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, son, Larry La Mont Johnson, and spouse of 27 years, Verna Christine Blackburn Johnson.
Here to cherish his memory is his son, Eric Mayes (Darlene), step children; George Maye (Karen), Connie Maye, James Maye (Barbara), Wayne Maye, Florence Maye (Lenn), 13 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, two siblings, Dorothy Abernathy and Ocki Johnson, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 11-2 PM with a Celebration of life to follow at 2:00PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Robert will be laid to rest following the service in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.
