He was a WWII Navy veteran, a life-time member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association (DESA).
Robert will be missed by his wife, of 65 years, Merle Ann, his children, Stephen (Paula) Sanford and Carol Paris, six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, followed by interment at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2016 from 3 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
