Robert Larry Willis, age 82, passed away on March 31, 2026. He was born on June 18, 1943, to Ruby O. and Ruby Holmes Willis in Louisville, Kentucky. Robert enjoyed travelling across the United States in him motorhome, camping with his loving wife, Marian. He loved 1950’s Doo-Wop, especially the Platters, and was actually a pretty good singer when he sang along. His family will remember the afternoons spent in the recliner watching Fox News as that was his “happy place”. He will be missed.
Along with his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his son, Robert Anthony Willis and his brother, Richard Willis.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 62 years, Marian Martini Willis; his son, Steven M. Willis (Kathi); his sister, Janet Wright Deeley (Michael); his daughter-in-law, Kelly Willis; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sweet mutt, Jasper, known as “Yappy”.
