Roberta Wells

Roberta Wells, 87, of South Louisville was born on June 12, 1929 in Hardin Co., KY to the late, Arvil and Mayme (Hart) Hicks and entered into eternal glory on Tuesday March 21, 2017. Roberta was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church, and was well known for her love for candy and desserts. She was an avid gardener having cultivated a “Bleeding Heart” plant that her mother had given her for several decades. Roberta was very close to her family and cherished them all very much.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her sons, Daron Wells and Kevin Wells. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 71 years, Hubert Wells; children, Donna Sollers (Jim), Terry Wells (Becky), Merle Wells (Debbie), Lisa Meek (Tony), and daughter in Law, Becky Wells; grandchildren, Nick and Greg Darnell, Christie Trees, Sallie Whitworth, Jeff Wells, Chaz Epperson, Emily Gray, Sarah Wells, Lori McCormick, Amy Bond, Kyle Meek and several great and great great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Roberta’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
