Gunderson, Roger Arthur, 86, of Louisville passed away on July 5, 2015. He was born August 31, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. He attended DuPont Manual Training School and served in the U.S. Army. In 1993, he retired from Henry Vogt Machine Company after 40 years of employment. He was a long-time member of the American Turners and frequent ping-pong player at the Beechmont Community Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harold and Ione Dougan Gunderson and brother, W.H.(Ted) Gunderson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Francke Gunderson, daughters Joyce Gunderson O’Meara (Tim) and Janet Gunderson Herbener, and son Roger William Gunderson.
A service to honor the life of Roger will be held Saturday at 10am in the chapel of Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to The National Kidney Foundation or American Heart Association would be appreciated.
